A trusted partner in times of uncertainty

HydX CEO Mikael Andersson on how shifting customer needs are reshaping tomorrow’s solutions

The world has become less predictable. Supply chains that once ran smoothly are now under pressure, lead times are shifting, and access to critical components can quickly become a deciding factor. For manufacturers of mobile and marine machines, this means navigating a new reality.

Business leaders today are balancing greater risk with new opportunities. While supply chains are being challenged, demand in certain segments can rise rapidly. This calls for both control and decisiveness.

We see this shift clearly in our conversations with customers. The way they evaluate suppliers has evolved. Beyond cost, factors such as availability, system expertise, transparency, and long-term reliability carry more weight than ever. Choosing the right partner has become a strategic decision that impacts the entire operation, from design to deployment.

Growing demand for robust and scalable solutions

For many of our customers, the challenge is finding the right balance between stability and flexibility. Designs need to be adaptable, production must be able to scale, and supply chains must be both resilient and transparent.

Decisions that were once primarily about optimization are now increasingly focused on securing supply and reducing vulnerability. The ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions has become critical, both in technical solutions and in the choice of partners. HydX works with world-leading component manufacturers whose production is largely based in Europe, meeting the growing demand for more regional and resilient supply chains. It’s a deliberate way to create stability in an increasingly uncertain environment.

At the same time, the need for available capacity is rising. In certain segments—particularly within defense-related applications—demand can increase rapidly, placing new demands on scalability. To meet this, we have invested in new facilities with 3,400 m² of optimized production space. This allows us to handle significantly higher volumes while also offering sub-assembly services, delivering ready-to-integrate subsystems directly into our customers’ production. The result is fewer internal steps, smoother workflows, and greater scalability throughout the value chain.

System integration that reduces complexity

As a system integrator, we develop tailored solutions across hydraulics, electronics, and electrification. By combining multiple technologies into a single solution, we reduce complexity, minimize interfaces, and ultimately lower risk in both our customers’ systems and their supply chains.

In the end, it’s about creating room to act—enabling our customers to move faster and make decisions with greater confidence, even when conditions change. Our role is to reduce complexity, not add to it, and to be a partner that remains steady when it matters most.
