Last spring, Elis Andersson, 19, graduated from the T4 program at Ystad Gymnasium (Upper Secondary School), and shortly thereafter, he was hired by HydX, where he had also completed his internship.
In August, we welcomed Stefan Hedlund, 37, who has joined HydX Gothenburg as our new Customer Support representative. Stefan brings with him nearly two decades of experience in the hydraulics industry, having spent 18 years as a service manager supporting end customers.
The new facilities are delivering results. Just six months after moving into its modern new headquarters, the impact is clear. In the first four months of 2025, HydX reports its highest-ever order intake and invoicing. "The change has opened up new opportunities, and the strong start to the year means we can look forward to several new hires", says Mattias Salomonsson, COO.
HydX is in an expansive growth phase and is now making another bold investment—this time in Gothenburg, where we are hiring new staff and doubling our office space.
We at HydX are proud and pleased to have welcomed County Governor Anneli Hulthén, along with a delegation from the County Administrative Board and Ystad Municipality, to our new environmentally certified facilities.
With new partnerships, new facilities, and a record-breaking order intake, HydX enters 2025. "We feel a strong sense of optimism about the future and increased opportunities for continued growth", says COO Mattias Salomonsson.
2024 is a milestone year in the history of HydX. It marks the company’s first 15 years—a jubilee year filled with celebrations, an exciting relocation, future-proofing initiatives, and a record-breaking order intake. Add to that the beginning of the next chapter in our story.
They dreamed of working closer to their customers, building strong relationships, growing professionally, and having fun along the way. Fifteen years later, Stefan Holmberg and Håkan Erlandsson have retired, but they look back on their time at HydX with great joy. "We wanted to have fun, build a great team, and that spirit is still very much alive in the company," they say.
Fifteen years ago, the goal was a turnover of 100 million SEK. HydX has now tripled that, and the company has offices in four different cities in Sweden. Yet, the foundation and the future of the company still lie in Ystad. “The key to success lies in competence management, and now we have built new premises to continue our growth,” says CEO Mikael Andersson. In the third part of the series of interviews with the founders of HydX, the company’s CEO reflects on their journey to the top and their plans for the future.
