Melker Hansson first joined HydX while studying electrical engineering at school, completing a work experience placement before returning for a summer job. When he was offered the chance to come back in spring 2026, the decision was an easy one. He joined the company in March.
“I had a great experience during my placement, so when the opportunity came up, coming back felt like the obvious choice,” says Melker.
Melker now works in the warehouse, where he handles incoming and outgoing deliveries and prepares materials for production. Having spent time in both assembly and logistics, he has found the role that suits him best.
“I enjoy the variety. There is always something happening, and no two days are quite the same.”
His first months have been busy, with plenty of new tasks to learn and a fast-paced working environment. They have also given him many opportunities to grow. Since joining, Melker has gained his forklift licence, developed new practical skills and gradually taken on more responsibility.
For Melker, one of the best things about working at HydX is the people.
“Everyone is very supportive. If I am unsure about something, there is always someone who will take the time to explain it. You learn a lot that way.”
That willingness to help is a natural part of everyday life at HydX and something Melker sees as one of the company’s greatest strengths. The open and welcoming culture makes it easy for new employees to settle in, learn the job and develop their skills.
Looking ahead, Melker is keen to keep learning. His next goal is to operate the larger forklift. This summer, he also helped new summer employees settle in, giving him the opportunity to pass on what he had learnt to new colleagues.
Outside work, Melker has a interest in fitness. The same motivation to improve and take on new challenges is reflected in his approach to work.
