From Product Manager to Account Manager

His background in electronics development gives Ulf a strong foundation for his new role. As machines and systems become more sophisticated, finding the right solution increasingly depends on combining technical expertise with a clear understanding of what the customer is trying to achieve.

“To develop solutions that are built for the future, we need to understand both the customer’s goals and what is technically possible. That’s where my technical background and training in mechatronics are particularly useful, as mechatronics is all about bringing mechanics, electronics and software together.”

New opportunities in connected machines

Electronics plays an important role in HydX’s ability to deliver complete systems that bring hydraulics, electronics and software together. Connected machines are one area where HydX sees significant opportunities ahead.

Demand is growing for solutions that enable remote diagnostics, over-the-air updates and machine data collection. At the same time, cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important, not least due to requirements introduced through the EU Machinery Regulation and the Cyber Resilience Act. HydX’s role is to help customers navigate these challenges and develop secure, robust solutions that are ready for both today’s needs and tomorrow’s requirements.

A key part of this offering is HydX’s partnership with Owasys, for which HydX is the Nordic distributor. Owasys’ open, Linux-based platforms provide a flexible foundation for developing advanced connected solutions for mobile machinery.

For Ulf, the move into his new role is both a natural next step and an opportunity to contribute to HydX’s continued growth.
