When Melvin Cardell joined HydX in September 2025, he wasn't stepping into unfamiliar territory. Having previously worked at the company during the summer, returning full-time felt like the natural next step. Before pursuing a Master's degree in Mechatronics in 2027, he's focused on gaining practical experience and building a strong foundation in engineering and technology.
Melvin works in HydX's warehouse, where his days range from receiving goods and picking orders to packing and dispatching shipments. He also works closely with the customer support team to make sure every delivery reaches customers quickly, accurately and on time.
– I really enjoy working here. It's busy, especially before the summer holidays, but that's what makes the job interesting. Every day is different, and you're constantly learning."
Since joining the company, Melvin has earned his forklift certification, expanded his practical skills and gradually taken on more responsibility. For him, that's one of the things that sets HydX apart.

Having worked in both HydX's former premises and its new headquarters, Melvin has also seen the company's development firsthand. Outside work, Melvin has played the guitar since childhood. In the future, he hopes to work in mechanical design and product development, but for now he's focused on broadening his technical knowledge and gaining as much practical experience as possible.
